Workday Saturday, July 11th, 2026 – 8:30-noon!

Revis work day 20260628 - Aaron found Commelina erecta, commonly called slender dayflower or widow's tears, while following up on spring girdles.

Hey Friends!

At the end of June, stewards made one last pass on the white sweet clover dotting the western sand prairie, touched up suckering girdled trees, and treated woody re-sprouts in the kickoff area. A foggy and balmy early morning gave way to a sunny and toasty conclusion of a wonderfully productive day.

This Saturday, from 8:30am to noon, we’re looking at temperatures in the 70s, peeking into the low 80s. We can continue to monitor the ripeness of prairie seeds to collect, start setting back the sumac clone spreading on the prairie, and if the weather permits, continue treating woody invaders in the kickoff area.

What other priorities might we discover? Join in to think and plan together. Many leaders make this possible.
