Revis Hill Prairie Nature Preserve near Easton, Illinois is one of the remaining hill prairies in Illinois. An island of history and biodiversity, Revis is home to many plants and creatures. The preserve is open to the public for hiking and hunting by permit. The small parking lot is marked by a sign on the south side of the preserve, which is owned and monitored by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
Volunteer to help revitalize Revis
We are working to clear encroaching species so the sun can shine on our piece of the prairie and to plant additional native prairie plants to restore this unusual environment.
“Revis is one of the finest and most biodiverse prairies in the state, but encroachment by invasive species threatens the native wildflowers, grasses, butterflies, bees, and other life that have called this place home for millennia.”
